Jimmy Sheckard to be honored

This is a copy of a baseball card of Columbia's lone professional baseball player, Jimmy Sheckard.  A monument/plaque in his honor will be dedicated on Saturday, May 4, at 4 p.m. at Glatfelter Field prior to the annual Susquehanna Sports Hall of Fame banquet. Sheckard played with the Cubs and still holds several teams records. The public is invited to attend,
