I guess it is a safety issue
I posted last week or the week before a safety issue involving a utility pole in the area of Third and Locust street. The partial pole was hanging from a newly installed pole. Apparently, Columbia Borough also thinks it is now a safety issue as the parking spot by the pole is now blocked off. It went up Friday afternoon.
Locust is condemned
The recently opened and renovated Hotel Locust, which held a grand re-opening over the weekend featuring an Elvis impersonator, has been condemned by the borough.
Sometime Saturday evening into Sunday morning, a window ledge on the fourth floor came loose and crashed down through the canopy onto the sidewalk. No one was hurt.
