Millersburg at Columbia: Tide's playoff history

While Millersburg, the Tide's Class A playoff opponent has done well over the last five seasons in the District 3 playoffs, the same can't be said for the Tide.

The Tide, who will host a playoff game for the third time, is making its 17th playoff appearance, but hasn't won a game since beating Holy Name, 48-7. They've six lost straight Class A games, the longest current Class A streak in District 3 and eight overall. The other two were Class AA losses to Delone Catholic, 27-26, at home, in 2007 and to Trinity, 56-12 in 2006.

In addition to hosting Delone Catholic in 2007, the Tide also hosted Camp Hill in 2002 and lost to the Lions, 19-8.

That win over Holy Name at Lebanon propelled the Tide into the finals where they were beaten by Camp Hill, 13-6 in the finals in a game played at West York.

The Tide has been to the District 3 championship game three times, losing to Camp Hill, 32-6 in 1988 and in 2001. Columbia won a district title, beating Hanover, 19-8, in a game played at Middletown in 1995.
