Columbia looking for a coach
Columbia High School will be in the market this winter for a new football coach.
Michael Burke III announced his resignation Monday to the team and Tuesday to the football support staff.
He was head coach of the Crimson Tide for three years, qualified for the District 3 playoffs in all three seasons, won the school's second Class A District 3 title last year and qualified for the PIAA playoffs.
Before becoming head coach, Burke was a longtime assistant for his father Mike Burke II.
His won Michael Burke IV will be a sophomore next season at Villanova University.
