Football tickets
Columbia High School is selling tickets for the game up here in the High School office. Tickets are $ 4.00 for students and $ 6.00 for adults if purchased here before the game. All tickets at the game are $ 6.00. We will be selling until 4:00 p.m. through Friday.

Also, beginning on Friday night, our school community will be collecting donations of cleaning supplies, work gloves and masks, as well as financial contributions for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Imaging Center opens
An 18-month project to renovate a prominent historical downtown Columbia building has culminated with the Nov. 1 opening of the new Imaging Center of Columbia. Located in the former M&T Bank building, 369 Locust St., the property was purchased in May 2011 by Cimarron Investments, LLC, a real-estate investment group owned by Don and Becky Murphy of Columbia. The couple had a vision of bringing business and quality luxury living to the downtown Columbia area through the redevelopment of the building, which was originally built in 1924.
The Imaging Center of Columbia is a division of Lancaster Regional Medical Center and the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. The 4,000-square-foot facility is the two hospitals’ sixth imaging location. The new convenient Columbia location will offer high-quality X-ray, ultrasound, digital mammography, DEXA bone density, and lab collection services. Since undergoing diagnostic tests can be stressful, the center was designed to make patients feel at ease the moment they enter. With a soothing décor and warm colors, it does not look like a hospital or medical office.
Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Appointments are not required for general X-ray services, and convenient off-street parking is provided at no charge. Readers are invited to meet the staff at the center’s ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Tuesday, Nov. 20, beginning at noon. Locust Point Apartments, located above the Imaging Center, have been transformed into two floors of eight beautiful luxury living spaces. Six of these are three-bedroom units, and two are two-bedroom units. All contain a living room, dining room, full kitchen, laundry room, full bathroom, and plenty of storage space. Amenities include new cherry kitchen cabinets, a front-loading washer and dryer, a built-in microwave, a dishwasher, a glass-top stove, and a large refrigerator. The building’s original hardwood floors have been refinished, as have been the original American chestnut raised-panel interior doors. Bath and laundry rooms have porcelain tile, and all countertops are granite. Along with new tilt-in vinyl windows, each unit is fitted out with high attractive tray ceilings and crown molding throughout. Also included are high-efficiency heat pumps with central air-conditioning.
Renovations are wrapping up, and Cimarron is now showing units and taking reservations, as residents may begin moving in on Saturday, Dec. 1. Free off-street parking is included, and construction is now starting on a new elevator to provide quick, easy access to the second and third floors. With its close proximity to the Susquehanna River, this premier property aims to be an ideal location for residents to rediscover all the ways they can live, work, and play in the downtown. The property is attracting professionals, couples, and senior residents who want to get away from property-ownership expenses.
