COLUMBIA TALK has learned Hempfield High School is advertising for a new varsity football coach until Dec. 23.
Bob Forgrave, who coached the Black Knights for the last four seasons, apparently resigned earlier this week. He had a record this year of 3-7 and was 19-22 overall.
The ad says Hempfield is looking for someone of at least five years of high school coaching, with at least three years at the varsity/junior varsity level.
To comment, I think with the size of the Hempfield School District, this could be a plum job in District Three. Already heard a few "big time" names.

Its about time. Good riddance!
HHS football has sucked ever since he took over so long to bad rubbish!!!!!
As a former player, I really wished they would've fired him, just for the embaressment. He ruined the program
I have never seen a football coach, or any other coach for that matter, ruin a program like this guy did. Many of the coaches from varsity on down just simply quit because of him. Sadly, much of the talented players refused to come out.
I personally would love Hempfield to hire Jim Cantafio or someone of his abilities. Hempfield has the talent to be in the race, not only in their section, but also in the districts every year.
Merry Christmas Hempfield players....your nightmare is finally over!!!!!!
