Do you only have negative things to say?
As for me, I salute the people who had the vision to plan and fund this project, gas pumps and all. Whether or not there is a giant cow or a tub of ice cream atop that tower matters very little. What counts is that this will be a first rate attraction that will bring tourist dollars to our community instead of just letting them stream past us to other towns. Thank you Turkey Hill, Bill Roberts and Columbia Borough. Sincerely, Albert Storm, Jr.
I am also glad to see the building restored, I am also glad that turkey hill is doing a museum in there, I hope that the people come to see it and visit the watch museum also 4 blocks away. The gas pumps are in the drawing I saw, and I think because of the high wind it would be very bad to have something on top of the water tower, By the way did anyone see the tower lit up over christmas, sure can't miss it. So now the neg side, I wish a manufacturing company would have bought it to give incomes that a family could work in. I was told by a person who works for turkey hill that all the jobs are part time. Wow this is very bad for anyone who wants to buy a home in town, or fix up a home they own. might as well put in another fast food chain in, But what do I know. Still thanks to turkey hill for doing it right for them, and cleaning up that mess that has been sitting for the last 30 years. I can't wait to see the visitors trying to get out of the parking lot now onto linden street, Columbia police better hire another officer to sit on the street, its going to be a mess. we will need another traffic light at 4th and linden.
About time we got a REAL gas station in this town. If we want this town to be used by boaters we MUST provide a gas station with ample room and more than two lousy pumps.
