I remebmer when it burnt back in the early 70's, the glow could be seen for miles. Didn't see it this time. Thanks to all the volunteers who fought this fire. Remember the fire departments when it comes to fundraisers or fund drives. Even if you hate chicken BBQ, buy one anyway.
I grew up in Columbia, and this has always been a part of my life, and so many others here in Columbia. My children all went there,to bowl on leagues, and have a great time.I would volunteer and work the snack bar. This truly was Columbia's icon.I went to see this today,my heart goes out to the owners, which i met today, wonderful people. We all have you in our prayers.Because the Columbia Bowling Alley, really was the only place left, for our kids to go hang out,and not be just hanging on street corners. We all need to remember the owners as they move forward, keep them in our prayers. They need us now.Thank you to all of the fire companies, that had come to fight this fire this morning, there were alot.
I saw the Columbia Bowling alley today. My heart truly hurts for the ownwers..It was here when i as a child.I took my boys to bowl on leagues there, they loved it.It was an icon to Columbia.Alot of memories were made there.I met the new owners today, while there, wonderful people. My heart breaks for them.I knew the previous owners very well, also good people. Not only my sincere, deepest prayers are with them, during this very difficult time. But people from all over, are praying for them, and supporting them.God Bless All of You.
My heart was totaly hurt. When I found out the news of what had happened to my favorite place to bowl. I am trully sorry for the owners that owned that place. I am hoping they can rebuild it

Such a sad, sad day for Columbia Borough... As a community, we have to aid in the rebuilding of this town icon.
