This is the most ridiculous proposal I have heard in a long time. Mary pegged this one when she said it was the equivalent of someone buying beer, putting it in their trunk and then not being able to transport it. I wonder if this Fish and Boat officer ran this idea past his superiors before bringing such an outrageous idea to a public meeting. Seriously, who does this guy think he is. I am all against impaired boating much like I am against impaired driving but to suggest such an idea is well over stepping his authority. Just how does he suggest people get beer to the islands when they are having a party, an air drop I guess. Just because people are trasnporting the beer in a boat does not mean they are drinking it in the boat. This guy has me really fired up, and I could go on and on but I guess I will leave it at this.

THIS MORNING WHEN I WAS DOWN AT THE RIVER PARK WATCHING PEOPLE FISH AND BOAT ON THE SUSQUEHANNA, I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHAT WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS FROM TWO JURISDICTIONS. SEEMS THE FISH AND BOAT COMMISSION OFFICER IS A TAD BIT NEW TO THE AREA AND MIGHT BE LOOKING TO PUT HIS MARK ON THINGS SO TO SPEAK. ALSO HEARD THIS FROM A BOATER AS WELL. IF YOU HAVE SOME COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE OFFICER, SUGGEST CALLING THE FISH AND BOAT COMMISSION AND ASK FOR THE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THIS REGION. I AGREE BOATING AND DRINKING, LIKE DRIVING AND DRINKING ISN'T GOOD, BUT THIS MAY HAVE BEEN AN ATTEMPT TO FLEX SOME MUSCLES, OR, GO OVERBOARD SO TO SPEAK. THAT NUMBER IS 626-0228.
thank you. i agree. this is outrageous...to my knowledge, in the last 30 years - yes 30 years there has been NO boating accidents.... we need to send him away with his tail between his legs and maybe the boro should GET RID OF THESE CLOWNS AT THE RIVER PARK - I'D SAY WHAT THEY'RE DOING IS THE SAME AS "ENTRAPMENT".PERIOD. NO OTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED. LEAVE NOW.
tell him to flex his non muscles somewhere else - he is NOT welcome here. the boro should NOT have hired him/fish and boat to patrol the river park. bad move.
