Day in and day out, there are a number of places around our town that there is plenty of trash laying in the street. This one just was a little too much. My suggestion is if people are trashing our town, please call and report it. It's the only way we can get things cleaned up.

It would help if we had decent street sweeping policies, but our street sweeper is rarely ever out and doing its job.
Simple solution,
Get rid of slum lords, the trash that lives in the buildings and there will be less trash.
I have always said Trash breeds Trash.

hello-do you own a broom and shovel??? clean it up YOURSELF...no, it's easier for youto whine and be lazy......that's what our parents and grandparents did, they swept EVERY day !! most tenants do NOT take pride in where they live-it's generally homeowners who really care ! again, run all these renters OUT of town and keep them out !!!!!!!
i agree. get out your broom and shovel and clean up your own gutter and area in front of your house......put it in with your trash.......talk about lazy, whining, yellow bellied crybabies......it's a real sin.
I clean my gutters and sidewalk, as well as that of my immediate neighbor. I also keep it weed-free. I will not clean up after the slumlord tenants that act like animals. And the writer of this blog is disabled, and cannot clean this sidewalk, so get some courtesy, please.
until the taxpayers get ittogether and DEMAND answers, and action - there will be none. now is the time to rid this boro of ALL the slumlords. where is the code officers ??? they SHOULD BE PICKING ON THE LANDLORDS NOT THE TAXPAYERS (unless of course, they keep a pig pen too) Why aren't the code officers WALKING THE DOWNTOWN BEAT EVERY DAY..why are some properties still the same ?? look at the 200 block of Locust st - pigstys & boarded up
