Tide '9' drops second game

The Columbia Crimson Tide baseball team fell to 0-2 on the season Thursday afternoon following a 7-2 loss to McCaskey, in a game played at Glatfelter Field.
McCaskey had just four hits for the game, but capitalized on 10 walks by Columbia pitchers.
The visiting Red Tornado scored four times in the second inning off Tide southpaw Seth Lefever, without getting the ball out of the infield. Two of the four runs scored on wild pitched.
The Tide tried to get back into the game in their half of the second when they loaded the bases on walks to Brandon Arnold anad Johnny Vasquez and a single to right by Lefever, but could not score.
The Tide also got two base runners in the fourth, before finally denting the dish in the fifth with their only two runs of the game.
Lefever struck out six, but walked nine in five innings of work before being replaced on the mound by Vasquez.
