I was alerted to this weed problem at the intersection of Front and Perry streets. The high weeds were causing some traffic problems and were reported to Code Enforcement by police. Yes that is a fire hydrant in the weeds.
Who owns the property? Put their name in here and maybe you will get them to take care of business, maybe! It helped the sewer company by putting names in the paper. Worth a try!
Tthat's beautifull river grass, not weeds! There are lots of little bunnies and other wildlife living in the river grass, and the ducks set down there too. Leave it alone.
well then let it grow to be woods with groundhogs deers and bears - we need more green space and there is nothing wrong with natural growth along the river - and it offers a nice buffer for the houses up above - sometimes you gotta step back and try to see it from another prospective. one man's junk is often another mans treasure. plus it destroys the enviroment to run gasoline powered lawm mowers just because someone was worried about the dumb ordiance that doen't even allow for nice river grass - the zoning needs to add a section for river grass - any property within 500 yards of the river can have river grass and woods
it has nothing to do with river grass. it has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that, if you are driving down Perry St you can NOT see to pull out. someone could get killed. i say fine him. he does it ALL the time. he can mow it himself nl
well if it's a line of sight issue - then you're right - there has to be a clear line of site. But other then the line of site to pull out, it should be perfectly ok to let the wildlife grow on the rest of the lot
as of thursday, aug 12, this was still NOT corrected. it's a true shame that code enforcement can't give INSTANT TICKETS, much like the meter maids and the police. then, MAYBE he would mow it himself IMMEDIATELY....there is NO excuse for this, it's been what 2 weeks ????????
