River search update

Here is an update on a story I posted earlier today concerning the abandoned car found on the Route 30.

Police are looking for a 43-year-old Lancaster County woman whose car was found abandoned on the Route 30 Bridge over the Susquehanna River between Columbia and Wrightsville.

Manheim Township police say Tracy Kiebach was reported missing by a family member on Wednesday at 11:20 p.m.

Officers broadcast a description of Kiebach and her vehicle and, within a short time, her vehicle was found unoccupied on the bridge in West Hempfield Township, police said. The engine was running and the emergency flashers were on.

Anyone with information on Kiebach’s whereabouts is asked to call Manheim Township police at  569-6401 or West Hempfield Township Police at 285-5191.

River is searched

West Hempfield Township Police are looking for information about a car that was abandoned on the Route 30 Bridge last night that led to a search of the Susquehanna River.

A white Volkswagen was found on the bridge with its engine running and emergency flashers operating at about 11:30 p.m., police said.
Water rescue crews and a state police helicopter searched the area but did not find anyone, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 285-5191.

The earth shakes in Columbia

Anyone feel the earth moving yesterday around three o'clock. Here is a link to the News 8 story on a possible earthquake that hit town.
