Risk Watch bike event is Saturday

St. John's Herr to host event

The Third Annual Red, White and Blueberry Jamboree will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on St. John's Herr Estate, 200 Luther Lane, Columbia.

The event will feature a 300-pound blueberry pie, Rita's Ice, chicken corn soup, hot dogs and more. For entertainment, there will be games for children, face painting, a dunk tank and moon bounce, as well as live music.

The celebration will also include an appearance by the Turkey Hill Cow and the Columbia Fire Company.

Along with the Blueberry Jamboree, St. John's Herr Estate is holding a "Fill That Bus" event. The Jamboree kicks off a month-long drive for school supplies for the Columbia Borough School District.

CUM to host dog walk

Columbia United Methodist Church, 510 Walnut St., will hold its second annual Dog Walk on Sunday, May 20.

Registration starts at 1 p.m. and the walk begins at 2.

Each dog registered will receive a goodie bag. Each adult registering a dog will receive a ticket eligible for a door prize. Trophies will be awarded after the walk in a variety of categories.

Cost is $5 per dog
