Checking on the Peregrine Falcons

When I was sitting down at the River Park this morning, relaxing in the nice weather, I noticed a small group of people in the area of the boat launch. Nothing out of the ordinary I thought, just visitors taking pictures of the grand body of water, the Susquehanna River.
Moments later, I noticed three of them walking across the bridge piers. Since I didn't get any official vehicles, I thought 'COLUMBIA WE MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM developing. So I texted one of our police officers on duty and he responded followed shortly by an officer from West Hempfield. What it turned out to be was local folks and some state officials checking on a peregrine falcon nest. Problem adverted. Here is a story on the falcon nest: https://www.altoonamirror.com/page/content.detail/id/113882/Rare-falcons-hatch-chicks-in-Lancaster-County.html?isap=1&nav=757
