Among the items on Page 1 -- The Columbia Nurses and Allied Arts Club were announcing their Nurse of the Year during a program at the First English Lutheran Church. Mrs. Audrey Lockard was the speaker and Mrs. Ruth Gilbert, director of nursing at the hospital, was scheduled to announce the winner.The Columbia Hospital Auxiliary was honoring volunteers.
The Auxiliary of St. Paul's P.E. Church was holding a special service to recognize Mother's Day.
