Another yard sale

Saw this again this morning at Fourth and Locust streets, another yard sale/flea market/moving sale on a property owned David Doolittle. The borough has an ordinance concerning the number of yard sales, which was violated earlier this year. The current sale has been going on for about a week. Word is, the people in this building are moving down to South Third Street.

i heard that there's a high end coffee shop moving in with outdoor seating - sort of makes sense if it's done right

Where is the Codes department? Police? This is in the heart of our downtown, how can this be allowed to continually go on with nothing being done about it? With the hiring of another part-time codes officer at tonight's Council meeting, we now have 3 part-time code enforcement officers and a full-time codes department head, it's time to clean up this town and enforce the ordinances we have on the books!

High end, that may fit with the art gallery on the block, good people mind you. But for coffee, I'll be sticking to the Grind.

yep - there's sidewalk sales every week in front of 3rd & Locust - Mackies - the new pet store - and more - shut 'em all down!

Mackies, the new pet store and more are actual businesses. These are the kind of things the Boro needs to support so we can fill up all the other empty storefronts on Locust. This flea market/yard sale is something else entirely and should be removed as such.

I agree - go support them! - what exactly did you buy from one of these shops that you're saying we all need to support?
