Out of the area

I will be out of the area for the next week enjoying some down time after a very trying year. I will have coverage of Monday's borough council meeting, so that won't go uncovered. I will be keeping an eye on things back here. Keep reading, keep sending your comments and I'll see everyone in a week.

You deserve this "time out". . .but do hurry back we will be lost without any good posts on this blog. . .how else do we stay in touch with what really needs to be known about the happenings in Columbia. . . . much better than the Register and old Columbia News.

Just curious... what time are we allowed to park on the streets ran by meters? Isn't after 5 you can park anywhere? I was in town at 730 eating dinner and saw the meter lady hammering out tickets galore! However, what I don't get is... she picked cars she wanted to hammer. She didn't go right down the row and hand out tickets to everyone who did expire. I found this odd and thought I'd better ask. Anyone know?

get some rest - it must be awful stressful dealing with this blog and deciding which ones to keep and which ones to delete - you're doing a great job even though you're biased as hell!

I thought meters stopped being monitored at 6:00pm. Of course, with the financial strains of the Borough, I'm not surprised that they're setting the hours as they wish.
