Weeds, weeds and more weeds

Even with four Code Enforcement Officials, work is going to be slow. Perhaps before making residents and property owners take care of their properties, the borough needs to get its house in order, by trimming its own weeds in the "parking lot" next to the forer Market Annex.
In the above photo, the sidewalk out in the East end of town is blocked by weeds.

Great call Barry! I was going to bring this up at the next Council meeting but you beat me to it. Maybe now, this will be taken care of before the next Council meeting. You bring up a great point, how can the Borough be fining its residents when it's own house isn't in order? Keep 'em on their toes Barry.

I think that some of these "weeds" are sort of pretty - so long as they aren't more then about two feet high, it's kind of like a natural green arrangement - and they grow in all sorts of shapes and shades of color and blend right in with the natural beauty of the river and islands - i'm a lot more concerned about the trash then the one foot high "weeds"!

We need code enforcement who is in for the PEOPLE of this town not let deadbeat landlord who are there "drinking partners" slip under the belt... The corner of Union and 3rd has the WORST LANDLORD and ROACH INFESTED apartments around but you think the borough cares.......... NOPE!!! Cause they they don't have to deal with it!!

Go figure I get a letter from code enforcement for weeds out front of my house which only one by rain spout was maybe over 12 inches which is suppose to be the ordinance but the boro properties can look like crap and that's ok. Even in front of boro building on Locust st had more weeds then in front of my house but that's ok.

PK...Weeds of any sort, let alone the 6 foot high weeds found in front of the 3rd street parking lot have no place in a residential area and are, in my opinion, certainly as unappealing as the trash laying around in the streets. I see both of these as problems that need to be addressed. I've ask many times in the past, why have ordinances if they're not going to be enforced?

PK it sounds like you maybe SMOKING these WEEDS.

Well considering we just bailed on the property south of the lot due to the deadbeat landlord, cleaning up those weeds aren't gonna help the appearance much. We were told that entire building was going to be condemned...hasn't happened yet.
