PLease let me start by saying I am in no way complaining about the wonderful service our volunters provide the town. But as a resident of N. Columbia, it seems like we have, almost a daily firecall to the Luthern Village. This does not seem to be reflected in this log but I have been trending it. Thankfully the calls are all been false alarms. The calls all seem to trend late morning late morning (10 to 11'ish) and early evening ( 6 to 7). Is there any investigation in a possible internal glitch in the system that is triggering the calls? Possibly something going on in the kichen or laudryat this time? Again I am not complaining just trying to be proactive into the why this is happening.

This list proves, once again, how dedicated and necessary are the men and women of this group.

I would like to know why the other two departments monthly logs are not listed. And to answer JG question...when automatic fire alarms are triggered the fire departments have to respond even if it is a reoccurring event. If I am not mistaken after a certain number of these events the homeowner can be charged a fee. Once in a while if someone burns something it makes alarms go off too.

It seems like most calls are OUTSIDE the boro

200 Luther Ln. is far and wide one of our main responses uptown. While a number of these calls are indeed false alarms, the vast majority comes from burnt/unattended cooking. Since fire is involved, these are not considered to be false alarms. Does it get tedious to return to the same place over and over again, sometimes sure. But that is the job we do. And no matter how many times we are called, we will respond because that is what the residents of Columbia expect and deserve.
