Parking lot taking shape

The parking lot south of the Market House continues to take shape. Looks like the only thing left might be paving.

I have to say it will look VERY nice when completed. However, did we really need to spend money on the brick pillars right now, just for aesthetics purposes? Same with the bollards at 5th and Locust, $13,000 for "decorative" sleeves? Do the people running this borough know we are in a recession?

and maybe their buddy's lay bricks for a living!

and they call this a "farmers market parking lot" - ha!

let's get real and tear down all of the buildings from the market house to Cherry Street and up to the market alley - and make a real parking lot!

na, they don't have the guts - but maybe Jim Smith does!

I do attend the council meetings and some committee meetings. How do you think I knew about the $13,000 for decorative sleeves?
