Too bad this isn't a walk-through display.

I may be pessimistic, but I don't trust the person behind me to be paying attention to the car in front of him/her rather than the displays on the sidelines.

That, and how can you really enjoy something when you are creeping along while sucking down exhaust fumes?

This is a non-profit organization trying to raise funds for the kids of the community and bring a little positive activity in town....and you are shooting it down already?? This event was mega successful at Longs Park, Hershey also has a drive thru light display... Yes I would say you are a negative, negative person...what a downer....

I find it quite funny that people are talking negatively about an event that will be benefitting the youth of Columbia. I guess it goes to show, that no matter how good the intentions are for something, there will always be those few people who can (and will) complain. Please spread your negativity somewhere else.

Yes, and Rocky Ridge has a success with their walk-through display in York County.

Nowhere in my post did I say anything negative about the display, the town, or the people putting on this display. If that is what you are seeing in my post, then you need to go back and re-read it.

I expressed my personal opinion about these drive-through things. I'm sorry, but $7 for a chance to have some moron crunch my rear bumper? No thanks. I'd rather enjoy Christmas lights while walking around in the cold air, taking my time to see what I want to see instead of wasting fuel to crawl along a slow line of cars.

Sorry, this is my town, too. Born and raised. So I am not going anywhere else. Trying to stifle debate is beneath all of us.

Watch WGAL on Wednesday evening. Doug Allen is doing backyard weather from the light display. Hopefully this is just going to be the start of a holiday Tradition in Columbia. What a great positive thing. Tom, enjoy Rocky Ridge, they do a great job too...then think about volunteering in Columbia with enough volunteers maybe Columbia could do a walk thru some year. (no stifling intended)

What a great idea all around. It benefits CBAA and the community itselfs gets to enjoy holiday of lights. I hope this events takes off and it becomes a yearly event.

I think it's great. I heard on the news that the CBAA supports 500 kids if half of those parents took their kids just think of the money that could bring in. Also family time wouldn't hurt either. It also shows that people of this town do care. I say job well done.
