Vandalism pictures

Toured the town taking pictures of the Sunday night into Monday morning acts of criminal mischief where vandals used purple and blue spray paint at various locations throughout town. Houses were painted, along with vehicles, the River Park and the Wenger Center. One area, near Fourth and Locust streets may have been previous vandalism. Anyone with any information is urged to contact police at 684-7735.

what a sin. these low lifes that defaced these properties MUST be found and prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law.....
maybe we all can keep our eyes and ears open for suspicious activity.....
maybe the police will patrol these areas more.
and IF they're caught, not only should they be made to pay a STEEP fine, AND remove ALL the graffitti, they should ALSO have to perform 50 hours of community service. JP - i hope someone tells you this-if these punks had to do community service hours maybe they'd think twice.

we MUST show these punks that we will NOT tolerate this behavior....send them a message loud and clear. what a shame.

You don't really think the District Justice here in Columbia is going to offer up much punishment do you?

Wow, down at River Park too, where are the cameras? I don't recognize most of these locations. Was the majority done in a certain area?

Ooops! Just saw further down where you stated some of the locations.

Most of what I found where along the Avenue G area, between Walnut and Chestut -- Heard there were other areas, but didn't have a chance today to search out. Went from River Park to the front of the Wenger Center, then Avenue G from Third to Seventh. The motorcycle pic was on Second Street and another pic was at the old Rays on Fourth.

What should happen is when these vandals are caught not only should they be arrested the parents of these individuals should be made to clean up the areas affected. The public should be invited to watch this. I bet these vandals would think twice before doing it again. It all goes back to where is the discipline?

we should let the kids paint the concrete pillars under the bridge with proper supervision

Hey, I agree with tim s. and post 8:28. However, since the damage is done- lets move on and cover up. We have pictures of the damage and can hold them accountable if caught, but bringing people over for the holidays is really gonna suck if I have to by-pass this on the way.

maybe take up a cash collection and put out a big award for information leading to an arrest -I'll kick in the first 20 bucks and if the pot gets big enough - someone will squeel - and make a new standard yellow and black sign "CASH AWARD FOR GRAFFITI CRIMINALS" and post the signs all over town - with fine print stating that this crime is a serious offense and people that to this may need psycological evaluation urgently
