West Hempfield Township police reports

Terrance Williams, 22, of Mountville, was charged with retail theft, as the result of an incident at Kmart, 3975 Columbia Ave., Nov. 24.

Police are investigating a forced entry and theft of a television, DVDs and jewlery from a home in the 100 block of Stonehouse Lane, Nov. 26.

Police said a resident of New Street in Mountville, reported the theft of a bicycle, Nov. 26.

West Hempfield Police reports

Police charged two Maryland men with theft as the result of an incident in the parking lot of Field of Screams in the 100 block of College Avenue, Mountville, Oct. 22.
Charged with theft were John E. McDevitt, 25, and Jason B. Nichols, 28, forthe theft of hubcaps on vehicles.
The two were caught after fleeing the scene on Route 30, West.

On Oct. 22, police charged Ramel Campbell, 21, of Maryland, with public drunkenness, after he was found passed out in the parking lot of Fields of Screams.

Police are investigating the theft of $1,200 from a work truck parked in the 700 block of Ferndale Road.

West Hempfield Police Reports

Joseph Chapman, 51, of Mountville, was charged with DUI,reckless endangering another person, reckless driving and hit and run as the result of an incident at Main and Lemon streets, Mountille, Sept. 16.

John Fox of the 700 block of North Donnerville Road, reported the theft of a GPS from his vehicle, Sept. 15.

Brian Leid of Mount Joy, reported the theft of a GPS from his vehicle, while it was parked in the 3700 block of Hempland Road, Sept. 15.

Police are looking for two white males in connection with the theft of several hundred dollars in electronics from the Kmart, 3975 Columbia Ave., Sept. 15.

West Hempfeld PD charge two

Two Mountville residents were placed in Lancaster County Prison following stabbing in the 100 block of Spring Street at 12:59 a.m.
Charged with simple assault and reckless endangerging another person was Angie Bosley, 37. Charged with simple assault, receving stolen property, reckless endangering another person and possession of marijuana and cocaine was Dennis Wishard,43.
Police said Wishard was found bleeding from his hand after being stabbed by Bosley. Police also said Wishard pointed a gun, which was stolen from York County, at Bosley.

Press conference set for missing person

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office and the West Hempfield Township Police Department will be holding a joint press conference in reference to the Missing Person investigation of Katherine M. Connolly this afternoon at a time yet to be determined at the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Lancaster County Court House, 5th Floor.  A second announcement will be made once a time has been established.  No further information will be released at this time.

Mail boxes and cars damaged


On the morning of July 26, West Hempfield Police received numerous reports of mail boxes and cars being damaged in the 100 blk of Ruby St and 1st blk of Pearl St - Mountville.
In all, (6) mail boxes were smashed and (2) vehicles had smashed windows.

West Hempfield Township police reports

A home owner in the 300 block of South Manor Strret, Mountville, reported to Police, sometime overnight, July 21, an unknown person forced entry into his garage, but appears nothing was taken.


Police responded to an alarm at the Getty Mart in the 300 block of Highland Drive.
Upon their arrival, they discovered, glass to the front door smashed in. Police further learned, the stores cash register which contained an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Police search the area, but no one was found.

Police were called to the 3300 blk Poplar Drive, July 24, as it was reported, the home owner observed a: white male, tall, teens to 20's, enter his garage and remove a bicycle. The home owner followed after the suspect until the suspect ditched the bike in a nearby housing development and fled on foot. Police checked the area, but no one was located.
