And why didn't that extra funding come to the route 441 Truck relocation project instead? Maybe officials "outside" of Columbia don't like what they are seeing "in" Columbia.

Amen brother. Apparently Mayor Lutz & Council were asleep at the wheel again bickering instead of moving Columbia forward. We missed out on a real opportunity to get the truck route underway with the extra funding. Paying more attention to the goings on with highway funding and a little more aggressive lobbying on Columbia's behalf might have been in order.

The Route 441 truck route is nothing more than a pipe dream and will never happen. (Kind of like a Doolittle project).

There are two many hurdles to jump for this to happen. I just hope this does not turn into a money pit like the RT 23 project has.

441 Truck Route is essential to any kind of Columbia downtown revitilization & development. We're just going to have to jump over the hurdles & through the hoops & do whatever else it takes to make it happen. The trucks have to be removed from downtown. Period.
