I hope it can be video taped and seen on Cover it Live. Thank you!

This property was settled on weeks ago and the Borough needs to be done with it! What the hell could they possibly be having another special meeting for? With nearly 5 million in debt and another loan just taken out for $125k, this Council needs to say NO to any more financial handouts to the developer, CEDC or anyone else who may have their hands out for this project. Let Kroger ante up any additional monies! I hope the Borough made whoever requested this "special" meeting pay the $500. advertising fee associated with it.

i'm assuming that the Borough was totally "off the hook" at the settlement, right?? - or were they dumb enough to somehow gaurentee the loans for the developer, ha!

well Vern, I sure hope that you didn't vote in favor of a deal that kept the Borough on the hook in any capacity - and if you did you might as well eat crow and stay with the program!

Hey PK...check the record, I've been telling the Borough since settlement fell through last August to look elsewhere. So there'll be no crow on my plate! It's a shame you don't have the guts to sign your name! Keep hiding behind your little computer screen and showing your ignorance of what's going on in Columbia!

Okay, so why is anonymous (pk) questioning Vern's vote when Vern was no longer on Borough Council when this property was just recently settled? I believe when Vern was still on council he voted against any and all contracts presented by the CEDC, Turkey Hill, Kroger, Museum Partners or whatever other names had been used to identify all associated parties. Maybe YOU should stay with the program and get your facts straight!

If the Borough would have removed themselves from this property and given it to CDEC we would not be in this position. Council screwed this up from the beginning.

well, thanks for setting the facts straight - but at least we all agree on one thing - the Borough isn't in a good position with this deal.
