Dead end paved

This dead end piece of road, which is probably an extension of Poplar Street, was recently paved by the borough. The real question is why was a dead end paved and not one of the more problem streets in town?

I concur with you. . . .there are SO many streets needing repair and something like this happens. Who's setting the priorities for these work projects? LET'S GET THE POTHOLES FIXED and there are many.

I recall reading somewhere that the Borough was going to vacate this portion of Poplar Street and turn it over to the property owner next to the street. Perhaps this was part of the deal.

How offensive is this????? We have sooooo many bad streets that are heavily traveled and this is what our Highway Department decided to pave? If the Public Works Manager is making these poor decisions then he needs to be replaced. But of course, this is not HIS tax money he is spending as he lives in York County, what does he care. The Highway Committee Chair needs to hold him accountable for this. PATHETIC!!

I saw them doing this a few weeks ago when I was heading out on my lunch break. They spent a few days re-paving poplar street two blocks down, then one day they did the big dip in the road where the Columbia Health Center employees park.....which was a very nice blessings. Then I saw them doing that little dead end and was wondering WTF...thought maybe they were just using up the extras??
