The Columbia street sweeper was busy around the noon hour cleaning up some debris in the Third and Locust street area left by a truck going through the area.

this whole street sweeper issue is a huge joke. first of all, for years we have complained that it shouldn't be run in the winter and now this, it's SUPPOSED TO SWEEP YOUR STREET 1 time a month (unless you live downtown then it's daily) some areas have NOT benn sweeped for 2 MONTHS !!!! so-initiate permit parking and encourage people to SWEEP THEIR OWN SIDEWALKS AND CURB AREA ONCE A WEEK !!!!!

If they are going to sweep the streets once a month, then the signage should be altered to reflect that.
But that yellow machine is nothing but a revenue generator for the streets uptown. Granted, they need it pretty much daily downtown...
