Crimson Tide notebook, week 5

Official injured
Referee Dennis Bachman was knocked out the game with about two minutes left. He was knocked to the ground after being hit by Tide linebacker Bryan Flory. Bachman, an official for 36 years, of Columbia, suffered a broken rib and a bruised kidney and lung.

Big game for 4
A number of players played well for the Tide. The standout was Michael Burke, who caught five passes for 88 yards, rushed for 28 yards and scored twice on offense. Defensively, he had two sacks and a pick.

100 yard effort
Junior Keenan Edmond became the second CHS running back to rush for more than 100 yards this season, joining Brock Taylor in the century club. Edmond, playing his first game of the season due to disciplinary reasons, finished the game with 114 yards and two scores.

Streak ends
The win over Elco was the Tide's first over the Raiders since 2007.
