i hope they catch the punks !
barry, why haven't you mentioned the NEW FENCE ORDINANCE - that's ridiculous ?? if a couple taxpayers attend the council mtg and demand they rescind it - it would make our lives easier....it just deosn't make any sense...there's a 2 foot area that no one will or can get to to take care of....another prime example of TAXPAYERS WASTE OF MONEY !!!!!!

The fence ordinance passed a few months back. At the time it passed, sefveral members of the council questioned it. It was combined with an ordinance about solar energy. Because of the cost of advetising such ordinances, it was combined, which I can understand. At a legislation committee meeting last month, a boro code person spoke against it. Yes, come to meetings and get it turned around. This is a case of a member of council having a personal issue, which needs to end and will end if elected.

Like most ordinance's in this Borough they lack support if it were challenged in court. I know for a fact a new fence was installed without a permit. This was new fencing. A fence was never on this property. Its a joke to have these guys out there looking for violations and they turn around and tell you it won't hold up because it lacks teeth....When they fired Phil Gerber they made a grave mistake. He was a no nonsense enforcer.

Barry, could you give us a brief overview of what this new ordinance entails?

all questions regarding orindances (new or otherwise) should be referred to chairman of The Property Committee, call the borough office for details of how to engage with the committee,

This was an ordinanced passed by the Legislation Committee. That committee meets at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Fence ordinance concerns new fence cnstruction and approval of neighbors or there has to be two foot setback.

Not all of us have time to go to every borough meeting. I was simply asking Mr. Ford, not you, Anonymous.
