Pity. I don't see that 'giant ice cream cone' in the background.

But, it's great to see activity on this.

I find it interesting that lutz was a speaker when in the begining he wasnt a supporter of the project. I see another PHONY speach is in order just like the one at the rails to trails function he also didnt support.

Can someone catch me up on the Mayor's previous opposition to the project? I'm coming in late, but am surprised by that.

Thanks for the pic of the old milkbox Barry. I miss those days for sure!

I can probably comment on the above statement about Leo Lutz not being a supporter. Before this property was sold a former member of Council took Leo Lutz down to meet a potential buyer for the property. Why Lutz went along is behind me. While talking about the property Lutz said the Borough will be in control of what goes on that property. He apparently thought he was authorized to make that statement. That comment sent the developer running. Of course Lutz denies making that statement and he even told a citizen at a Council meeting (when the citizen questioned the Mayor) to bring in the former member of Council in handcuffs so he could call him a liar for saying something that wasn't true. Knowing Lutz he once again wiggled out of one of his lies. So common during his time in office. Once the CEDC group took charge and had the property sold it was time for Lutz to jump the fence once again. It was as though he was the one responsible for bringing this all together.(That is what he wants everbody to think.) At the dedication of the railroad Lutz was a speaker. He talked about how important it was to use our history and build on it for the future. The funny thing is that he and the current President of Council Mary Wickenheiser, who also was in attendance lobbyied so hard to take the railway from Frank Sahd Salvage and make it a walking trail. So you really never know what to believe when he is talking. Hope that helps......Most of us figured him out and now its time for others and it shouldn't take long. BTW....the railroad is being used to this day to transport material to make American products.
